Do we need another combo guard? I guess after next season we're really just down to Lindsey and Ash, so maybe we do.

From the guards that Collins is offering, we can infer that he is looking playmakers to replace Demps who can create off the dribble and penetrate and then dish to MacIntosh, Falzon, Tap, Lindsey or finish at the rim. Maybe Ash or Lindsey can replace some of Demps production. My impression is that Collins is looking for athletically talented combo guards that can match up well with or complement MacIntosh. Duke often plays with three guards or smaller lineups.

One thing that MacIntosh needs to work on is his defense and if he is playing alongsides an athletic combo guard, Collins might be able to take some of the defensive pressure off of Mac and allow some flexibility for Mac in that he won't have the ball in his hands all the time on offense and can work on his spot up shooting. Collins is also recruiting players who appears to be developing and continuing to improve.
