Why: we have senior leadership. we have clutch shooting (Demps), we have size (Olah, JvZ), we have shooters, we have talent. We have depth. Do you realize Sanjay Lumpkin will be something like our 9th guy, defensive specialist? I don't see major holes. This is a solid, solid team that is poised to breakthrough to the promised land this year.

It could very well happen. Deep, experienced team. As good as any on paper since I started following the Cats in 1974. The 1983-84 NIT squad might be the only better squad.

Note that many tourney sites are easily driveable from Chicago and the Midwest Regional would be a home game.

My dream: 'Cats in the Can. St. Pat's in the Pepsi Center in Denver. An awesome trip with Thursday/Saturday hoops sandwiching Friday spring skiing.
