Do you realize Sanjay Lumpkin will be something like our 9th guy, defensive specialist? I don't see major holes. This is a solid, solid team that is poised to breakthrough to the promised land this year.

It could very well happen. Deep, experienced team. As good as any on paper since I started following the Cats in 1974. The 1983-84 NIT squad might be the only better squad.

Note that many tourney sites are easily driveable from Chicago and the Midwest Regional would be a home game.

My dream: 'Cats in the Can. St. Pat's in the Pepsi Center in Denver. An awesome trip with Thursday/Saturday hoops sandwiching Friday spring skiing.
