It was interesting to read some of his comments. The one that stood out was that the UCONN campus was self-contained and 30 miles from any town. I wonder if this was just a "get out of Chicago" kind of decision. Curious if Chicago is equally a negative and positive recruiting factor?
It depends on the personality of the kid. Some want to go to school in a metropolitan area, some want a more rural setting. Some want to stay close to home, others want to go far away. Some don't care. I certainly can understand why a kid would like to go away to college.
