Former Pacific Collegiate star basketball player Morgan Green is now enrolled at Chabot College and will play there this year, said Chabot coach coach Mark Anger. Green originally signed with Northwestern.
Anger coached Green for several years with the East Bay Xplosion travel team.
The news was first reported by Clay Kallam of www.fullcourt.com.
Green starred at PCA until her senior year when she incurred a season-ending injury. As a junior she averaged 30.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 6.6 assists per game at the small, academically oriented private school.
Regarding the 5-foot-8 freshman guard's decision not to attend Northwestern, Anger said "She decided she did not want to go there. It's a private thing. It was not the right decision for her."
Green was not immediately available for comment.
Anger said his main concern is Green wind up at the right college for her. He said she has visited Oregon and there is interest from Michigan State.
