Running backs and tackles were the main position groups represented over the weekend at Northwestern.

WildcatReport has learned that the following players visited NU for the Wildcats’ final spring practice of the year on Saturday. These players showed up despite unseasonably cold weather and snow in Evanston.

There were three 2019 running backs with NU offers who made the trip:

- 4-star Jirehl Brock of Quincy (Ill.) picked up his offer on his visit, as reported by WildcatReport. He thoroughly enjoyed his visit, but it appears NU has some catching up to do and Iowa may be in the lead.

- 3-star Wandale Robinson of Frankfort (Ky.) Western Hills has recent offers from NU, Nebraska and Michigan to mull over.

- 3-star Nathaniel Peat of Columbia (Mo.) Rock Bridge is a diminutive (5-foot-8, 170 pounds) speedster who would fill a Venric Mark-type role.

The Wildcats are looking for another tackle to join recent commit Connor Foster in the 2019 class. There were two 2019s and one 2020 target at practice on Saturday:

- 2-star Jake Hornibrook of Malvern (Pa.) Prep has a 20-school offer list that belies his Rivals ranking.

- Unranked John Gelotte of Roebuck (S.C.) Dorman is a lot like Foster, a big (6-foot-7 and 285 pounds) guy who plays tight end.

- Unranked 2020 Peter Skoronski of nearby powerhouse Park Ridge (Ill.) Maine South figures to be a big-time recruit in the next cycle.

In addition, three-star Adam Berghorst of Zeeland (Mich.) East, who could play defensive end or offensive tackle, texted me that he planned to visit but was grounded by the weather. He told Rivals' Josh Helmholdt last week that he was down to MSU or Notre Dame, but NU could still be in the picture. He didn't respond to my follow-up questions asking about his interest level.

The other major prospect who made the trip was 3-star DE Adetomiwa Adebawore of North Kansas City (Mo.), who also picked up an offer on his visit. I am scheduled to interview "Tommy" tonight.

There were several other second-tier recruits in attendance who could come into play later, but those are the primary "dudes" who were there.
