Official Week 3 FBS Power Rankings

Looks about right. Take this to the bank though - Michigan rolls through the B1G this year and wins the NC which is only fitting for the winningest program of all time. GO BLUE.

Other Games , Week 3, open thread

This needs to be rephrased - if the B1G West continues to struggle. The West is 12-10 after yesterday's games - the East is 19-1. See a little bit of a difference there? It's really pathetic which is probably why the East is 8-0 is B1G championship games. They'll probably place USC in the West...

Wisconsin is going to get absolutely curb stomped next week.

    B10 West Blows Rant

The B1G East is currently 14-0 so far in 2022 while the West is 9-7. Yes, the West has a winning record but keep in mind that many of those wins are against the cream puffs that major programs schedule at the beginning of the year

Ranking the Big Ten squads after 2 games

For the most part, these rankings are accurate except flip the top 2. Anyone that watches - and understands CF - realizes that the Big Blue of Michigan is in a class by itself. My God, did you see what they've done in their first two games? On to the Playoffs this year when they claim the NC...

We beat Ohio State now, right?

I would not put too much into these early season games as many teams - with depth - are still trying to figure out their 2 deep or so. OSU sat a few key players that were banged up against ND and sat a ton of them - yesterday - against Arkansas State. Unfortunately for ND, they'll probably...

    B1G Power Rankings

Seriously? The Big Blue Machine won 51-7 last week and the only team that has an even remote shot to beat them - the Suckeyes - barely squeaked by 21-10. End of story - NC champs for the Big Blue

For ECat: OSU fans don't know football

You will - just like the rest of the CF world after Jim and Michigan Rolls through the Playoffs and wins the NC. The Big Blue probably have the deepest roster in the country. Jim's recruiting will start paying off

    B1G Power Rankings

This is comical. Michigan will win the NC this year. You heard it here first. GO BLUE

This is simple: 1.) Michigan - defending B1G champs 2.) Who cares?

    B1G to scrap divisions?

Yeah, this is Michigan's first B1G title since 2003 or 2004 (can't remember which one) and right away they're supposed to be a constant contender. And let's be honest, the only reason they won last year was because of that putrid OSU defense which resulted in the entire OSU defensive staff...

    B1G to scrap divisions?

He / she has a lot of company.😀

    OT - Bengals

I realize that Joe Burrow and Chase are the headliners - and rightly so - but you nailed the difference in the game - that Cincy defense. They're young and getting better and better as the season goes along.

The transfer portal is a friggin' mess!

Exactly, especially at some of the higher end programs. Teams like Alabama, Georgia, Clemson and OSU will just say adios and recruit someone just as good or better

I guess Utah isn’t much of a 2nd half team.

Think about this. OSU finished 11-2 and won the Rose Bowl with 23 scholarship players out,.....yet, the vast majority of the people associated with that program consider 2021 to be a failure. Hence, the massive staff changes on defense during the off season.

I guess Utah isn’t much of a 2nd half team.

Their D just flat out sucks. They're in the process of gutting their defensive staff starting with the hiring of 2021 Broyles finalist - Jim Knowles, the former Oklahoma State DC.

    CFP open thread

Not so sure about the 2022 B1G West - it's definitely wide open. Maybe a Wisky - Iowa battle with Minnesota as a dark horse. Both Iowa and Wisy have two of the very best coaches in CF - like them or not. Ferentz's offenses are vanilla but that program always in the mix. Nothing flashy, just...

Let's be honest. This was one of those years when everything broke right for Michigan. 2022 should be interesting

OT: Urban Meyer fired by Jacksonville

I've seen teams like Oregon State and Nebraska as possible landing points for Urban down the road - forget that idea. His obvious strength in CF is recruiting and he won't be going to a school if he ever does return - with a weak recruiting base. States like California, Texas, Florida...

    Michigan sure looked good

I think that was the key to the OSU - Michigan game. Big difference between the OSU and Michigan staff. Day has a bunch of duds on defense
