Thank you for your interest. Domask will come down to NCAA waiver decision. I think it’s still a (very) long shot.

Unless you root for a team in Omaha, I wouldn’t worry about it.

They’re also saying this is the worst draft in memory. So in a different year, Clingan may not be a top 10 guy?

Yes basketball only. Football the numbers are way, way, way, way higher lol

The article says NIL payroll, not necessarily from a collective. Regardless, in the current market, if $2M was available it would put NW at a significant advantage in the conference.

This cites $750k as the median among Power 5 programs. Kansas was top in the country at $4M. I don’t know what the rest of the Power 5 schools look like, but if the median is $750k, I dont think what I said is very inaccurate...

I think the numbers reported for individual players is often grossly exaggerated. Or there’s usually a large gap between what a player is publicly “seeking” vs what they actually get.

Admittedly it’s anecdotal. Nobody officially provides good sourced data on it, but I saw a lot of off the record numbers in an anonymously sourced article during the FF (I can’t seem to find it now). They mentioned that Purdue was middle of the big ten in NIL, with the top schools reportedly...

Just as a point of reference, a collective with a NIL budget of $2M+ would put you at the very, very top of the Big Ten and within the top ~5% nationally.

    Final game observations

I concur. Smith benefited so much from having the NPOY on the court with him. If he’s the #1 option for Purdue, UConn would have taken him completely out of the game.

What will NU’s One Shining Moment Clip Be?

It will just be a post from this message board that says “NW won the second half against UConn”. (This post is sarcasm.)

Haha might as well. Closest game the last two tourneys has been 13. They’re inevitable right now.

    Big Ten O/U

? We were a three seed. That’s one of the benefits of getting a high seed, you hopefully get favorable matchups on the first couple rounds. We had to beat 2 seed Iowa State in the Sweet 16. I’d say they were pretty good competition? I should hope so, since they were 2.5 point favorites...

Hahahahaha BTT title, 29 wins, Elite 8 appearance. We beat you by 30 at our place, lost in OT in Evanston. Finished several games ahead of you in the standings. Good troll! 👍🏻

Truth is, 30-0 didn’t hurt any more or less than a 1 point loss would. If a win means Final Four and a loss means season over, it freaking hurts either way. If it didn’t, there would be no point in being a fan.

UConn was up 14 and had a 99.9% win probability. Call it whatever you want.

Terribly. Being a win away from the Final Four was amazing. But having to get destroyed by UConn was miserable. I hope to see another Elite 8 sooner than 19 years, and hopefully next time we draw someone that isn’t the Death Star.

Lol save your moral victory and character contrast. UConn is a juggernaut. They kicked your ass and our ass. This is as weird as if I took a moral victory because we tied them with 1:30 left in the first half before they crushed us the rest of the game. They ran up the score on NU and coasted...
