So Now that Hoops Over... What the Heck is Happening with 2024 Place to Play

The NFL schedule is not known until it comes out. Right now the teams only know who they're going to play, not when. The way this normally works is that the NFL teams know their conflicts in advance and inform the league, and then the league schedules around the stadium conflicts. (This is why...

    Mount Rushmore for NUMBB

Any NUMBB Mount Rushmore must include either Dutch Lonborg, who coached NU to two B1G titles and a national championship, or Joe Reiff, who led those teams as a two-time consensus All-American.

Will Boo Buie’s scoring record ever be broken?

Only 16 B1G players have ever scored more points than Boo Buie, so naturally it's unlikely to happen again. But it's not impossible. I don't think it's ridiculous to imagine someone at NU having, say, Talor Battle's career.

How many teams have gone undefeated in their first three 1st round games?

I'm defining the first round as the first round played in a given tournament, excluding Opening Round/First Four games. As far as I can tell, the only other team that is undefeated in their first NCAA Tournament games is Tulane, who won their first game in 1992, 1993, and 1995, and lost their...

NU vs. UConn (3/24): 6:45 PM CT, truTV

Lastly: truTV is widely available. It was known as Court TV many years ago, and is part of practically every basic cable/satellite and live streaming package.

The regional crews are Eagle/Raftery/Hill, Harlan/Bonner/Van Gundy, Anderson/Jackson, and Catalon/Lappas. All four are excellent.

NU vs. UConn (3/24): 6:45 PM CT, truTV

It's based entirely on ratings, and the highest-rated game of the weekend is always the third Sunday CBS game that leads into 60 Minutes, so they try to put the biggest name in that game that they can. But because of 60 Minutes, the second game at that site has to go to truTV.

CBS wanted Duke in the top ratings slot so we get the truTV game.
