    I think this was a limited discussion to developing a quarterback. I agree that NU could potentially have some success even without a huge transformation of the QB position, though of course, improving the QB play would go a long way to accomplishing your overall goal.

    I think the idea of a guy who walks it up the court is somewhat overrated these days. The key thing is getting a guy who can create a shot for himself or teammates off the dribble. That doesn't have to be a point guard.

    I really don't know the answer. Smith played more down the stretch, but they played different positions. They didn't need Clayton as much because Boo played 39 minutes a game. Smith was the only sub for our 3 wing guys.

    Boo Buie National Defensive Player of the Year

    It was announced today that Boo has won the Lefty Driesell National Defensive Player of the Year award. I knew Boo held his own this year on defense, but I had no idea he was thought of this highly on that end of the court. Just another accolade for the GOAT!!

    Storr has some talent for sure, but I'm not so sure I would want him. He was a serious ball hog and hurt Wisconsin at times with his shot selection. He reminded me in some ways of Audige, except without the world class defense.

    Yep, that's how I felt about our freshman class too. You don't worry about redshirts if you have a chance to win now. They didn't play not because we were saving them.

    But that is not a guarantee that Smith will reach the heights that Boo reached. Some players peak earlier. Considering how much tougher life will get for him after Edey leaves, we may see him regress. But, he could prove me wrong and take his game to another level.
