“QB anomaly” - what about 2013-14?

By now you have all seen the argument that the reason for this “one bad season” and one of the worst passing offenses in modern history is that T.J. Green went down and we didn’t have a QB up to the task.

I would ask: What about 2013 and 2014, when NU couldn’t muster a winning record despite having a future NFL signal-caller under center, (and one who had seen action for two years before that)?

Maybe they’ll say it was bad OL play. Maybe they’ll say it was a lack of talented WR recruits. No, I’m sure that’s what they will say. Anything but questioning the millionaire who is paid to maximize talent on offense.

In the past seven seasons, NU has posted a winning record four times and a losing record three times. Narrowly won three bowls, got blown out in another (netting all the points together, NU scored less than its bowl opponents).

This program has had good times. That doesn’t mean they can’t be a lot better.
