2009 player tells InsideNU reporter of racist remarks, hair style restrictions

This is getting ridiculous. I want names to stand behind these words. To think FItz forced adult coaches to cut their hair a certain way or risk losing their jobs is so unfathomable. To think experienced coaches like Coach Brown or Coach Long would put up with this and still express strong admiration for FItz is ridiculous. The more this stuff comes out, the more it comes across as a manufactured, embellished hit job by a handful of malcontents. Lots of gullible so called “journalists” putting stuff out there without confirming or getting the full story. Pathetic.

I agree. That one is very hard to believe.

Rasheed Ward (among many others) played through 2008 and has nothing but great words to say about Fitz and the coaches. I believe the anecdote about the white offensive lineman, but the anecdote about Fitz forcing coaches with certain haircuts with the threat of unemployment does not pass the smell test.
