Wanted to take this to the Rock, as it's semi-inside info. And yes, I included 2018 in the thread's title because I fully expect NU to be playing in a New Years Day bowl at worst.
I think we can all agree that the D has the potential to range from very good to great this year, but that having an adequate pass rush may be their biggest question mark, so here's the scoop:
- X Wash's charges were completely dropped. So he's all good there, but he also just had labrum surgery and is out for the year. As @gocatsgo2003 pointed out to me, he still has a red shirt year, so he at least has that going for him
- Trevor Kent hasn't been practicing this summer yet. Not season threatening, but it'd be nice to have him practicing as DE needs all the depth it can get
- Sounds like Earnest Brown will be burning his shirt, and Sam Miller maybe as well
- Paddy Fisher is gonna be an all out stud. Everytime I speak with someone in the program they absolutely GUSH over him
That's basically what I got for everyone right now, but feel free to discuss
Go Cats and go Sox even though no one thinks I'm actually a Cats fan
