2nd half at MSU

Good start to second half. Cats funding Wolf inside for easy buckets. She has 12 points, 9 rebounds

A dominating performance. Burton is the straw that stirs the drink. This team has multiple weapons, and plays good defense.

Are they just that good on defense? The opponent scores seem pretty low this year.

We've taken down ranked Maryland once already. While it was at the WR, it was also in very convincing fashion. Let's do it again
Given our resume and performances, it looks to me like we should be a ~12th ranked team. Is this because the voters for Women's CBB are a bit lazier / more inclined to stick with the brand names and avoid upstarts until proven wrong? If NU Men's bball team had pulled off this string of strong wins (7-1 in conference, tied for conference lead, 17-2 overall, multiple convincing wins against good teams) we would have surged much higher than 22nd by now I think.

Other possible explanations for why we haven't risen further:
- More parity in men's CBB means more losses for everyone, so a ~15-4 and 6-2 conf record in men's is roughly equivalent to 17-2 / 6-1 in women's
- B1G in women's CBB is meaningfully weaker than men's, so our SOS isn't that hard

I dunno. I just checked the RPI (doesn't seem that KenPom has a women's ranking) and we are 15th there. Seems like we should be higher in the polls. Whatever, I guess it doesn't matter, if we keep winning we will get up there eventually.

Go Cats, Beat Maryland! If it's on BTN I will try to watch. Maybe I should re-up my BTN+ package for another month to watch the Lady Cats in the coming weeks (i had cancelled, I just buy it for 1m usually for the men's OOC schedule).

likely will be next ranking, especially if we take care of MD

Nice call. Here are a couple more computer rankings. One has us at 13th, the other at 10th:

(15+13+10)/3 = 12.666

Cats up 33-23 at the half. MSU is 8-0 at home this year, but otherwise this is a game we should win. Burton and Pulliam each with 11. And the Cats have 10 steals.

It's on BTN+
Notice that this is McKowen 10 year and worst year around year 10 and not higher than 8th until year 11. Now he has the solid team . It takes a while when you are trying to build a program
