Committed to Louisville.
Hard to believe how many kids have already committed for 2017. NLI Signing Day is still months away...the NCAA really needs to adjust its calendar to reflect the changing recruiting process/timeline. Rising seniors should be allowed to make official visits during the summer months and signing an early signing day should be sometime in the fall.
No doubt Coral. NCAA operating a decade behind the times as usual.
Again, it's the SEC preventing that change from happening.
How is this hurting the kids? Not a flame, just want to know.
Limits the ability of kids to take official visits before September of their senior year, giving kids with the means to pay their way for unofficial visits a SIGNIFICANT leg up as the recruiting process keeps creeping earlier.
The SEC has consistently fought the change while the B1G has consistently pushed for it because the SEC realizes kids seeing Midwestern schools during the summer would make it more attractive and therefore more difficult to recruit against.
What I can't understand is how most of the sports have a signing day in November but not football. The November signing day is essentially before the senior year for basketball, wrestling, and some of the other sports, but the high school season is mostly over by then.Committed to Louisville.
