ESPN is flashing that Izzo's record against the Cats is only 32-4. Amazing.

During the game I was guessing Izzo's record against NU was about 38-3. So I was way overstating his dominance of us.

I remember three of the wins against MSU (2002, 2009, and 2012), so I'll have to look up the fourth.

Since we're talking about Izzo. Before the game I walked out of the restroom and nearly collided with him going back to the locker room. We should cherish the WRA experience because that's not something that could happen at many other places anymore.

I was walking off the court following our game in the big ten tourney one year. Did collide (gently) with Gene Keady. I said excuse me and good luck. He mumbled something a knodded. Turns out it was his last game. So I can say I was the very last person to talk to Gene Keady before he walked on the court before his last game. Pretty Cool right?

The 4th was Ricky Byrdsong's last Big Ten win, 2/19/97 at Welsh-Ryan. We won 70-58. I was in the pep band and we were invited into the locker room to celebrate with the players. Those were odd times. We went 7-22 that year, 2-16 in conference.
