4-star Katy S Collin Wilder breaks down Top 3 - including NU

Is there any chance both safeties from Katy will be 'Cats? That would be interesting and quite a story.

There's a chance that all three of the Katy Triplets will be Cats. All three of them have NU among their finalists.

Out of curiosity, any other schools finalists on all three dance cards?

They're from Houston... And Tom Herman is one heck of a coach.

Here's an article about the new attitude that Herman has brought to UH, and the quick success he's having on the recruiting front. There's a lot of talent in the Houston area, and he's right to focus on it. As an alumnus of both NU and UH, I think the "Katy Triplets" would do well at either school. NU is clearly the more distinguished university nationally (and internationally), but UH is a fine school for those students who want to stay in Houston and develop business networks here.

If I were the Katy Triplets, however, my biggest concern would be about how long Herman sticks around if he's successful. The UH coaching position can be a stepping stone towards a "power five conference" position, with Kevin Sumlin as the most recent example. If the results on the field match the current excitement and recruiting success, then I think he'll be gone after three years. Something for these guys to think about. Fitz, on the other hand, isn't going anywhere. He'll be there to give them a hug on Senior Day, five or six years from now.
