I reached out to quite a few 2020 prospects over the weekend and got a few tidbits back...
- It doesn’t look like tackle Ozzy Trapilo is in NU’s plans. While he said that he’s still not sure if he’ll be coming in for an official later this month, he also said that he hasn’t heard from NU “in a few weeks.” That likely means they have moved on. I haven’t verified that with sources yet, but I think three weeks of silence tells us what we need to know.
- I reached out to Cali DE Lance Kenely to see if he had any news, and he basically said the same thing: “To he honest, I haven’t heard much from Northwestern recently.” He visited once early in the spring and has an offer, but NU has shifted their attention to other DE targets.
- DT Kevo Wesley said that he doesn’t have any plans right now to visit NU in the near future. He still hopes to announce his commitment on August 5, but he’s not married to that date.
So, it doesn’t seem like too much is going on right now for 2020.
