Wow, first post with the FB recruiting label... what an honor. Just got off the phone with three-star linebacker Braydon Brus of Glendora, California and he confirmed that he will be visiting NU the first week of June.
- He's a super high energy guy. It even came through over text when setting up the interview. Seems like he could be a great leader in due time
- Said playing for two of the best linebackers in CFB history in Fitz and McGarigle is huge draw to NU
- Talks to McGarigle and defensive quality control analyst Kevin Koch about twice a week
- Just started talking to Fitz about once a week. Said he's scheduled to talk with the big man again later this week
- Northwestern envisions him playing the WILL
- Says the coaches love his motor and ability to get to the ball
- I asked him about his connections to Michigan State, he turned his answer into talking about why Northwestern is a great fit since it's close to family in Michigan
- Only other OV scheduled is to Cal, but he was emphatic that distance from home won't play a factor (especially because of his midwest roots as it relates to NU) "I'll play anywhere in the country"
- He could barely contain his excitement when talking about anything NU related, whether it was playing for Fitz or the potential majors he was choosing from, I'm not as good at reading recruits as Lou is but I think NU has a real good shot here
- And of course, he mentioned top 10 football and top 10 academics
