I walked by that city.... The thought that anyone could live there with the smell of manure is inconceivable to me. I prefer Chicago. The Blommer Chocolate factory makes this whole town smell delicious.

Hog Farms nestled 5-plus miles outside campus...

Northwestern University had its own hog farms as I recall.

Those farms might have been around post Civil War but didn't last beyond the turn to the 20th century.

As for the HogEyes and Ill-Swine-I, the near-campus hog farms transitioned from on-campus sororities about the same time.
