when are the big ten - ACC matchups determined and is it as simple as 1vs. 1? It looks like duke is 6th - would be a fun matchup.

Usually around the end of May. My understanding is that the selections are made more on the basis of what are anticipated to be good matchups that year, beginning with the top matchups and then working their way down, avoiding repeats where possible. The lowest finisher from the ACC is usually left out, except when a team would be skipped for a second year in a row.

Yeah, I don't think they'd give us Duke (who is 5 in their conf tourney). Duke will get one of the name programs in the BT in the preseason top 25, along with Lville and UNC. I think we are more likely to get ND (3), Virginia (6), or Va Tech (7). Maybe Miami (8), Cuse (9) or Clemson (11). But who knows.

Why not? After winning the BTT and marching into the Final Four in our first dance, I would think a CCC stack team vs his old mentor at Duke would have ESPN salivating!

But after we make it to the final 4 wouldn't that make us a name program?
