I was a pretty big fan of Joshua Jackson after watching his highlight tape. I was actually disappointed when Deuce committed especially considering his wording of being "surprised" by his commitment. Didn't think we were going to keep him. I thought at that point, we had a good shot with Jackson. Liked his combination of arm strength and running ability. Thought he was a great fit for our offense, and being a QB, was the guy I hoped we land the most.
I'm no expert at judging tape by any means. I also think Aidan Smith has the better arm between the two, but I don't think he's a fit. I don't see him as a mobile QB. I don't see him running the option or the zone read on the college level. I don't see him evading the rush like Persa. I think that's a huge issue. Does anyone have some different opinions after watching his tape?
