Three independent 'What ifs':
1) What if NU fired Fitz, after the 2022 season, because we sucked for the last two years? Does any of this come out?
2) What if NU fired Fitz, immediately after the consultant's report came out, in lieu of a two suspension. Does any of this come out?
3) What if Schill stuck to his two week suspension and stands by Fitz and fights the accusers? Does this situation get any worse than it has been, to this point?

Wake me up from this shitty dream.

What if our school’s administration had protected all of our student athletes as thoroughly they do all other students?

These are questions for Carl Richardson. He told people he wanted to get Fitz fired, so 1 & 2 accomplishes that purpose, while 3 would be ugly.

Why do you go off on a tangent when someone asks a question?

Oh, oh, I just asked a question. Incoming!
Prepare for tangent! Prepare for tangent!
Welcome to an Internet message board. I asked an alternative timeline question that prompted a very kind message from the OP. Now, sometimes my ADD leads me on some real tangents… but not so much on this one.

Sir, this isn’t a Wendy’s.

Carl Richardson was the 3rd string QB behind Hilinski and Sullivan.
He threw his last passes for the Wildcats on 11/12 in the 31-3 wipeout at Minnesota.
His final throw was intercepted.
That loss dropped the Cats to 1-9.
The game thread says it all...
Holy shit Richardson has a noodle arm. Sully has a better arm than him.
Richardson has no arm
Richardson has a noodle.
Not a D1 QB. But I'm sure he's a nice guy and good teammate.

The next week at Purdue, 4th string QB Cole Freeman played the entire game in a 17-9 loss.
When asked why, we got
#3 Richardson apparently sucks.

In the season finale vs Illinois, Freeman again got the start and threw 4 interceptions before being replaced by 5th string freshman Jack Lausch.

Richardson made his allegations to the university at some point in November.

Sorry I got distracted.
My answers are...

1) Nothing comes out. Investigation stopped. Richardson may even stay at NU.
2) Nothing comes out.
3) Thats a huge hypothetical. The right call was to suspend Fitzgerald for a few games and take steps to fix what the new administration viewed as problems in the football program. It was a layup. Schill saves face and the university's reputation doesn't get slaughtered. If Richardson goes public at that point (even if supported by a trustee or five) he looks like a vindictive clown.
