I realize it isn't the Mile High City (Denver) but at >4,000 feet will the altitude be a factor in the game? NU arrived today so will have 2 days to get used to it, but Vandy seems to have the deeper bench.

4,000 feet is pretty high. My son lives up the mountain in Park City where the ski resorts are. When I visit, I don't notice the altitude when I'm at the airport or in the city but when I go up the mountain, I can really tell something is off. You really have to make a conscious effort to take a deep breath once and a while. 2 days should get them past the altitude headaches but they better hydrate.

Both teams are fighting the same thing as Vandy might be a few hundred feet higher but not like they are coming from the mountains. I am not sure there is any particular advantage of arriving a couple days ahead of time. Probably takes longer to adapt. FB teams don't seem to go in early when they go to Denver

They don't seem to win very often in Denver, either.

It definitely takes longer to adapt for stamina but that is usually enough time to get rid of the headache and maybe learn little about how the altitude effects you. You can pass out just taking a long drink of water if you don't take a deep enough breath.

It seems Nashville and Evanston have nearly identical elevation of 600'.
However Gonzaga's Spokane is almost 2000'. Not that Gonzaga needs an advantage to beat either team. ;-)

Altitude impact is exponential. 4000 feet is not totally insignificant but not astronomical either.
