I keep hearing all these references to his incredible feet. Although it was a very sample last year, I saw nothing that would elude to his great running ability. He did not seem to follow blocks well and is nowhere near as fast as Persa was before Dan got hurt and Kafka was much bigger and more powerful. I wish the best for Matt especially because he had his heart set on NU and when everyone else came calling he stayed the course and became a Cat. For those that have seen him practice, is he that inaccurate with his arm?

I have to agree. Again a small sample but nothing I saw indicated anything special in terms of quicks. He was a four star for a reason I suppose so maybe I am wrong. Persa was an exceptional athlete.

Right on Tim...I guess what bothered me more was that he didn't seem to run well. In the sense that he just sort of ran without setting up block etc. What must be said though is that our O line was less than optimal last year and his runs were often in ridiculously obvious situations that McCall put him in where everyone knew he was going to run. Hard to say what he might truly be able to do.

insidenu did that piece on how defenses knew he was going to run, so stacked the box

but everyone knew colter was going to run (especially his first two years when he barely threw the ball) and he ran all over the place. same can be said of persa when he came in for injured kafka, you knew he was in there to run...and he picked up yards anyway.

colter and persa were unique talents, but I was hoping (and still am) that aliviti is that type of runner. as you states, it does not seem like that so far
