An inside look at Purdue

We went to Matt Stevens of GoldandBlack.com for an inside look at the 2018 Boilermakers.

Behind Enemy Lines: Purdue ($)
Pretty accurate assessment of Purdue and the game. I would be shocked if this isn't a one-score game either way. I'm taking the Cats...close, like 21-17. Going to be a great atmosphere under the lights. Good luck.

I am very surprised by how many people on the Purdue board are picking the final score to be a combined 55 or 60 points. I didn’t expect the total to be over 50, Probably closer to 40

I think he's a bit off in characterizing the performance of our ground game last season. It was pretty effective later in the season. I hope the oline picks up where it left off last year.

If I am Purdue, I am testing those NU safeties all day. Lots of play action. and make a very legitimate attempt to establish a run game. Sindelar can really wing it, but Blough's mobility may be a better factor against NU's front 7.

I have to think our talent is clearly superior, but week 1 against a conference opponent is anyone's guess.
