This kid has such a high ceiling, I'm really excited to see him play the next several seasons for the Cats. I didn't realize he led the team in tackles for loss last year, even though he didn't get any significant playing time until the State Pen game.
Linebackers will be young but talented -- Chi Chi and Jimmy Hall will be missed, especially the latter who had a strong senior season and made some big plays for us. Of course we lost Collin Ellis part way thru the season too, so basically we have a whole new set of linebackers starting this season. Some of the young guys will have to step up, just like Anthony did last season when Collin went down. It sounds like Nate Hall may be a sleeper. Perhaps Jaylen Prater has recovered from his injuries and is ready for more playing time. Just based on his h.s. tape, it may be hard keeping Nathan Fox off the field -- that kid is a beast.
Anyway, it sounds like Anthony is ready to step into the leadership vacuum left by the graduating seniors. It'll be fun to watch this group develop and potentially become one of the better units in the Big Ten.
