I'd be shocked if there's ever a new stadium at this point. It's not about Ryan's loyalty to Fitz. At this point it's about whether NU can produce an administration worth bothering with major college athletics in this climate.

Pat Ryan Jr is on the board and executive committee (as I pointed out in another thread), so I'd be shocked if the Ryan family is blindsided by this decision; Schill probably talked to them (Pat Ryan and Jr.) about it before/after making the decision.
