Great evening for a ballgame in C-bus last night. Here are my observations.
1. KAH is total chill. Unlike any other big time coach Iāve ever seen.
2. Her players were surprisingly loosey goosey. All night long. Lots of singing and dancing on the sidelines.
3. Is all womenās lacrosse officiating this bad?
4. The Terps dominated draw controls in the first half. That and some nifty shots on goal kept them in the game.
5. Our goalie has some serious swag you probably didnāt see on TV. And she can play. Donāt know all the girls names, but 24 is a beast on defense around the goal. 45 is really fast. Izzy was doubled every time she made a move to the goal. Depth of talent and skill handling the puck was the difference. That and a much more successful approach to draw controls in the 2nd half.
6. Spoke with some Terp fans at the half. Very knowledgeable fans. They seemed already resigned to their fate like they knew what was coming in the 2nd half.
7. The game was played in what they call Buckeye Village not far from the main OSU campus. Itās huge. Streets with names and one athletic building or individual sport stadium after anotherā¦.that all look the same. Ho Hum urban mall brick and mortar in athletics.
