Saw this being bantied about elsewhere... I'll throw this out there for discussion.

1 OSU
2 Michigan

3 Wisconsin
4 MSU
5 Minnesota
6 PSU

7 Northwestern
8 Iowa

9 Purdue
10 Nebraska
11 Indiana
12 Rutgers (nice win over BC)
13 Maryland
14 Illinois

Although honestly at this stage it's very hard to differentiate much from 7-14. Only one game sample size. I know Iowa's offense looked awful but they won the West last year and their D should be elite. I'm not going to write them off. Purdue also is always dangerous. But the bottom feeders of the B1G - Illinois Indiana Rutgers Maryland - all seem like they should be more competitive this year so I'm struggling to decide who should be down in the 13-14 slots right now. Maybe I have Nebraska too high, but I thought they had some pretty good playmakers in C Thompson, Grant, and Jordan Palmer.

Anyways, just an initial effort after Week 1 that I'm sure will change quite a bit - we will see how it all shakes out!

I unfortunately agree with #1. They played poorly and still dominated #5 ND, and they’re likely going to dominate the B1G and get back at Michigan later this year.

2-14: it’s way too early to tell. But a top 7 finish guarantees a bowl game and I’d be happy with that.

Illinois isn't the worst team in the conference
I don't think they are either, but they just lost to Indiana who I had thought was a potential worst team in the conference this year. And another candidate, Rutgers, just beat BC in their opener who isn't great but is another P5 conference team. So I didn't love having U of I there but I didn't know who else so they ended up there by default. I guess one could make a case for Nebraska after they lost to us, but I'm biased and I want to think we beat a team that isn't that horrible... plus they did have some good playmakers on offense that I saw.

This is comical. Michigan will win the NC this year. You heard it here first. GO BLUE
Hey wolvey boy, you're the one who's comical. No one cares about Mishygan here. Scram!

Seriously? The Big Blue Machine won 51-7 last week and the only team that has an even remote shot to beat them - the Suckeyes - barely squeaked by 21-10. End of story - NC champs for the Big Blue

Lol. We don’t even play the Michiganz this year and wolfie is over here pimpin the Maize and Blue. Gotta love the spirit, but the delivery might need work.
Wolfey might also be Sparty in disguise. I never get how some rival fans go around doing that. Throw all their asses out.

Who you got? Indiana? Michigan?
Now that I think about it... they might be the worst team in the conference? But 6ish teams could be the worst team in the conference or the 6th best team in the conference or so, including NU (even after beating UNL)

I don't think U of I is anywhere near as bad as they have been in the last like.... 20 years (ha!), but nobody in the conference is BAD bad this year I guess.

MichiPuke has won half a national title since the invention of the helmet. Blue bliod, indeed.

Fan expectations are super important and the mythical North Carolina championship is a good place for y'all to start. ;)

Sir, NW just lost by 8 at home in a game they were 10.5 point favorites. I think you can go ahead and slot them in with bottom feeders

I’ve now decided that Nebraska’s the worst B1G team. Call it a hunch.

Michigan is battling Indiana for the 13th spot.

It looks like a baaaaaaad year in the B1G.

Nebraska is #14.
Ohio State is #1.
