While the guy wants to play and prob would, tough to keep putting him out there like this. Cant play the way he does with a bad foot. You can see he has often been limping.
Yup. He’s a warrior and has given everything. Just hoping he can get healthy soon and contribute again like we all know he can.
If he isn’t playing, it’s because it could make it worse or it is impossible to play given discomfort. That guy is the last guy that wants to sit. He only played 11 games his first year, and barely any minutes. Not sure the rules of getting a fifth year exemption?
I think I saw somewhere a while back that the plan is to petition the NCAA for an extra year and the Diego Pavia situation at Vandy could be our deal maker for that given it loosened up the rules a bit.
I’m no attorney, but it seems like apples and oranges to me. The Pavia situation was about the inconsistency between counting JUCO toward eligibility but not Junior Hockey or prep school. It didn’t challenge the NCAA’s ability to make eligibility rules overall.
That said I hope Brooks can get one more season, for selfish reasons. But also bc he’s got pro aspirations and this season isn’t helping.
Damn. Looks like his first year he played 11 games and less than 100 minutes. Guessing he would want to return to play (prob get some good NIL money)……let’s hope for some good luck if he wants to play again.
