From what I have seen so far watching some games here is my projected ranking of the West teams

. Illinois
. Wisconsin
. Iowa
. Purdue
. Northwestern

I agree with you - Minnesota then Illinois.
Wisconsin, Iowa and Purdue have to sort themselves out.

Coaching. Matters.

Bert has everything he needs at ILL. While their recent history is not like he had at Wisconsin, he also doesn't have Barry Alvarez looming over him. He wins 8 down there and they will throw roses at his feet.

The only hope we have for new/lousy coaches is a) if Ferentz is able to get his nitwit son hired and b) if Nebraska steps in dog crap again.
