Reactions: NU Houston
Due to Syracuse's opening round NIT game being postponed to tomorrow, tonight's Valpo-Illinois NIT game has been moved up to 6:00 PM CT on ESPN.

EDIT: Tomorrow's Iowa game has been moved back to 8:00 PM CT for the same reason.

Remember Charlie Moore? He was that stud point guard that everybody was hoping would choose NU after he dropped Memphis as his commitment? As you may remember, he chose Cal over NU. And so he did so saying Cal would have a better chance of winning a national championship? I watched Cal get beat by Oregon for the second time last week and Bill Walton really tore Charlie's game apart. Even though Cal had a similar record as NU and had four wins against tourney teams, they didn't make the NCAA tourney. Instead, they are a top seed in the NIT. I don't think we are missing Charlie as much as some people (including me) thought we would. I think he was a bit overrated insofar as his abilities go. If anyone wants to see him play, Cal plays against another state school soon in the NIT.

He averaged 13 ppg as a true freshman for an NIT team - he must not be terrible. He probably did make a wise choice, not many minutes at NU this year or next as a PG - battling with brown after that.

No Dick Vitale. Thank heavens for small favors.

Dick Vitale doesn't work for CBS/Turner so you never have to worry about hearing him on any tournament games. (Unless you watch the international feed of the Final Four.)

As far as I know, they didn't want to have a home game with their students away on spring break. They said they would host in future rounds if the bracket has them at home.
I guess now the AD has come out and said he didn't want to de-value a game at assembly hall. LOL
