Nothing but the best from you Styre. You're making this old man even lazier than usual, and I have to watch my beer consumption because it's easy to gain weight sitting in the Lazy Boy for a long time. When the post-season tournaments are over you'd better plan an extended vacation because you're going to have a lot of time on your hands.

Is there a reason Shon Morris doesn't do NU games?

He used to do them all the time and then abruptly stopped right around the time he left the athletic department, in what was apparently not an amicable parting. After that he did occasional road games but didn't do a game in Evanston until last year. I don't know for a fact that one had to do with the other so I won't speculate further.

Also, in general, I believe he lives in South Dakota and so he does most of his games from nearby schools like Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska. A lot of BTN assignments are done for convenience and it's really only the top broadcast crews that regularly travel across the country for games.

Met him at O’Hare once flying to Lincoln. Dude was a character. Had on a Bill Walton esque Hawaiian shirt.

Shon Morris was a great player and worked tirelessly in the Athletic Dept. for a long time.. I used him to make my Wildcat Fund Contribution for many years, and he always took care of my wife and myself at away games and bowl games, making sure we had access to NAA food and drink. Always greeted us by name, and a great guy in every respect.
