Not only defended home court, but put on a beat down of an old nemesis (sweet sweeping the Lions in both FB and BB).

While the overall conf. record still isn't that great (would be great if the 'Cats can at least split the last 4 games) at 4 wins, things are looking a good bit better than 3 games ago.

The 3-game win streak is impt. when it comes to recruiting, since not every recruit is astute enough to look beyond the record (back when the 'Cats were sitting on 1 B1G win) and take into consideration the close losses and injuries to Cobb and Tap (the incoming frosh probably understood this).

CC can show recruits how things are starting to come around and this is with a young team.

On that note, while a 2 gm sample is a bit small to draw any real conclusions, don't know what happened to Law and his shot, but he has had 2 very impressive games.

Still would like to see him attack the basket instead of relying on jump shots, but if he can do both with aplomb, he'll be very dangerous.

For recruiting every little bit of spin helps. If you can say our freshman played more minutes than anyone and we won 5 of our last 7 games, that is an argument for improvement. Not to mention what a boost it would be to the guys working out in the off season.

Maybe Law just finally got comfortable at this new level. I had a new job once where I felt like a total outsider for the first 8 weeks. In one day something happened, I cracked a joke and very suddenly felt like I belonged. Confidence is a powerful force and lack of confidence can really undermine your performance.

The W is huge but especially in this way. NU has offers out to 2 or 3 strong players that probably wonder how much of CC to believe. They wonder less now.

NU was FAVORED by 1 going into the PSU game. Whatta game to have attended.
