Seems to me that the big winner to the NU infrastructure investment in Walter and Trienens is Women's sports. They have equal facilities to the Men and this is probably a real competitive advantage to many other Universities. Couple that with the educational benefits and NU should be a powerhouse just as Stanford is.
Not ranked yet, but at least received votes.....and 8 of the top 25 are from the B1G. The B1G season will be brutal as usual.

It's a pity that the hoops teams don't do the same thing. A weekend event with Loyola, DePaul and NU would be great. Hold it in the United Center. Men's and Women's teams. Build some brand identity for Chicago basketball.

Yes. Love it. We get #5 Ohio State coming up next week, and I watched them dispose of #11 State Penn yesterday, in State Penn's gym. They are freakin good. Don't expect us to rise to that occasion, but I would love to see that match.
We took a set from OSU earlier in the year, which was rather impressive.
