Here come the whiners and the trolls!

It's one game people. Yes, we got our asses kicked...but it's our first loss. Let's see how we bounce back before throwing everyone we can under the bus...

The trolls have been here for a few hours already. Must...not...feed...them.

Don't see how stating the obvious is trolling?

Let's see - last year - stationary pocket and runs up the middle and O went nowhere.

Things did a 180 when moved the pocket and went away from attacking the middle (which was the strength of UM's D) in the 4th Q.

One would think McCall would have learned something from that.

This has been a long standing issue.

I agree with Katatonic.

There are very legitimate problems our team has.

Pointing them out does not mean someone is trolling.

I mean...at the same time, we're 5-1, which EVERYONE on this board would have taken at the beginning of the season. It was a terrible game...but ONLY one game. We've also played some fantastic football this year.

^ U are always so simplistic.

Yeah, the 'Cats will be 5-1 and that's still great - but they are 5-1 despite the longstanding issues.

The 10-3 mark (pun intended) in 2012 hid the same issues.

I guess according to you, we shouldn't have grumbled about the state of the D during the Cardiac 'Cats days.

Long standing issues like defensive rebounding? Lol

Seriously, this team has had ONE bad game and some great ones! Let's see how we bounce back.

Just for the record, when I was talking about trolls I was talking about the gloating fans of the other team. I don't think talking negatively about your own team is trolling.

A big part of the defensive issue w/ rbing was the Princeton O.

And I'm not talking about the TEAM (well, the D - aside from playing a bit too much zone which gave UM receivers room), but the kicking game and play-calling on O which have been issues before this game.

^ Even w/ the NU O-line winning the battle of the LoS, the playcalling on O has been just OK.

Funny how Harbaugh has moved his QB around more (which has flustered the D a bit and opened up things for the run game) than McCall despite Thorson being the more mobile QB.

^ Oops, I meant offensive rbding.

As for defensive rbding, the 'Cats simply didn't have the players up front.

Maybe UM is more talented, but they aren't 38 pts more talented.

Harbaugh and his OC just ran circles around Fitz and MacCall.

He has a 5th year Sr. A Frosh is likely less mobile as he is concentrating on his assignments.

^ There have been other RS frosh QBs who have been able to use their legs to set up the pass.

How are we to know whether Thorson is able to do that if McCall rarely gives him the chance to do so (and the couple of times Thorson did roll out, he didn't look too bad - better than those repeatedly asinine option calls).

Yeah it was the COACHING that was the reason we lost 38-0 Got it. Lol. Bellichek and his entire staff could have been on our sidelines today and we would not have won. The Michigan players were absolutely more talented than us today, period,

We were outcoached. But we were also out-talented and out-played. They were just the better team top to bottom.

When the other team is controlling both LOS's, there is not much coaching can do. We played a better team. A much better team.

Weren't they also more talented last season as well?

Probably more so since the 'Cats were well on their way w/ regard to injuries. No Jones, Vault, Shuler, etc., Cam playing w/ one hand, Jackson and the younger Dickerson being true frosh.

This year's team was as healthy as the 'Cats have been in a while and probably as healthy as one could expect a team to be 5 games into the season.

And yet, the 'Cats almost beat them when McCall finally woke up.

Not saying that the 'Cats would have beaten UM (not w/ UM getting better coaching by Harbaugh and crew), but should have been a closer game (think about it, the 'Cats lost by a greater margin than a crappy Maryland team, much less UNLV).
