As per the below copy paste from the thread over on the Rant Board regarding the renaming of Mt. McKinley, I am ready to make good on my promise.

I just got birthday gifted a trip to Chicago that will include attendance at our Homecoming game against Iowa on October 17th.

I will do my best to bring some of the "Obama Sticky Buns" of late night talk show fame with me. My direct flight from Alaska arrives at O'Hare early Saturday morning but hope to make it to Ryan Field in time to drop off the treats at either the Uber/NoChores Tent and/or at Turk's tailgate on my way into the stadium.

Here is the above referenced copy pasted post from over on the Rant Board:

"As a post script to the President's visit, here are some photos relating to his visit to an Anchorage eatery just up the block from my office and which was the subject of late night talk show fodder.

Here, at #2, is the referenced joke by Jimmy Fallon:

#1

"President Obama is taking over the White House's official Instagram account this week to post pictures of his trip to Alaska. Or to put it another way, President Obama is now your annoying friend on vacation."

#2

"While he was in Alaska, President Obama stopped at a cafe and bought out all of their cinnamon rolls for his staff. The staff was like, "Thanks, Obama." And the guy behind him in line was like, "Yeah, thanks Obama.""

If I make it to a Ryan Field Tailgate this year, I will make an effort to bring some of these now popularly named "Obama Buns" (actually "Pecan Sticky Buns") and I can vouch they definitely live up to the hype that prompted the President to stop in for a taste."

The President's limo charging toward me. They flew it up here all the way from Washngton, D.C.just to transport The President from Air Force One to and from his downtown Anchorage hotel pictured here.

What's not to like about a pecan and caramel pastry. How far from Captain Cook do those hail from?

Answer: Half a block. I couldn't believe they brought the whole motorcade on a four block route just to stop the President's Limo at the Snow City Cafe when it was just a few steps away from the hotel. By the way Snow City was the favorite breakfast spot for Drew Barrymore and Ted Danson when they were staying at the same hotel during the filming of the whale movie, "Big Miracle." They would just walk over.

Thanks, the buns might help warm us up before the Io-a game. The Presidents limo goes on ALL Presidential trips, per Secret Service order.

Alaska, I'll look forward to seeing you, but under no circumstances should you bring any Obama buns to the No Chores Rolling Rock tent. We'd love to have some smoked salmon or reindeer sausage, but I want nothing to do with Mr. Obama. Hope you can make it.

Make sure you wander up north to the Cat Pack tent with those tasty, sweet, Obama buns. I've had them twice before in 2008 and 2012...they're great...they taste like victory! Bring all the sausage and Salmon as well. Screw that old goat with his weak Yuengling beer.

The good news is that I am coming in on a direct flight so the Alaska Reindeer Sausage, Smoked Alaska King Salmon, and the pastries will be fresh. (I stopped by Snow City Cafe this afternoon and they guaranteed they will bake some extra Pecan Sticky Buns and hold them for me Friday.)

The other news is that I will be coming directly from OHare so depending on traffic and parking I may be cutting it close but hope to make it to the tents to drop off the tastes from Alaska at least 30 minutes before game time. Otherwise what is left should still be there after the game.

By the way glad to learn that both of you will be able to make it to Evanston for the homecoming game.

Great news Alaska, I'll look forward to seeing you. (I might even have an Obama bun if you swear not to tell any of my friends.) Safe travels.
