For all of you who believe NU gets no respect from BTN, J Leman and Dave Wanny BOTH have NU as the #1 team in the conference power rankings. Leman did sidelines coverage at Ryan last week and said that the Cats are "Physical, nasty, the're not kittens they're Wildcats". Fun to watch.

FWIW, UoM were 3 and 5 from those guys.......

While they had them as #1 in the conference power rankings, they also took MSU and dOSU as two of the teams in the playoffs.

They were clear that the power ranking were based on what they have actually accomplished to date now what the external rankings said...........

J Leman always does his homework and is knowledgable about the teams when he covers a game. He also is a great guy. I mean, how many guys out there would eat raw eggs on TV (link below)? We are both from Champaign-Urbana. I remember him playing HS ball. He was barely recruited out of HS (Illinois may have been his only offer) but was one of those guys that worked very hard and kept improving every year till he was an all big ten middle LB as a senior.

Today BTN made the mistake of having an InsideNU guy on. Was fairly negative about Thorson, and you would think he was the MICHIGAN beat reporter listening to him, imo, Didn't talk about our D at all, only Michigan's vaunted front 7. Ugh.

Meh. Inside NU does some interesting stories but also have their share of duds. Sometimes write stuff just to get a reaction, kind of like Felis. I'd rather have everyone (including the Michigan team) overlooking NU and instead looking ahead to MSU.
