Porter's not kidding about Thompson and the details. At practice yesterday the backs were high-stepping through the cones and when one of them knocked over a cone by accident on his turn, Thompson stopped the group, showed the guy why is the angle of his ankle wasn't just so, and had him re-run the course.

Thompson did an excellent job at Cal. Since he left, their top two RBs and five RBs overall entered the portal, with the top 2 headed to Oklahoma and Texas. His backs really learn their assignments and play with a combination of precision and aggression.
