I know there is a lot of blame to go around but Law simply has to take at least 10 shots a game.
Awful game today against an awful opponent.

That said, I truly believe our team can beat any BigTen team and beating MSU wouldn't surprise me. Not sure what the problem is. We have the talent. If I had to say, we just arent' tough, at least we aren't tough mentally at all.

Here is counting on the BTT

Maryland was a 4.5 point favorite and have a better RPI than us. Let's not make things up and state that Maryland was expected to lose to us. Maryland has lost twice at home to MSU and Purdue (13-2 home record) who are only the #3 and #4 teams in the country.

Early Line was 6 points, so if it moved to 4.5, Money moved to the Cats side.

I agree with 50% this.

NU is capable of beating any team in the BIG when they play hard, smart, and are hitting at a decent clip from outside.

I would ammend the last line to "we have some talent". CC has clearly upgraded the calibre of athlete in the program, but sometimes the board oversells the baseline talent on the roster. NU cannot get away with sub optional play like several BIG squads can (which makes last year that much more amazing).

On the flip side, the staff seems to be slowly closing that gap. I'm very excited to see what we have in next year's class.

Awful opponent? Lol wut? They have a 50-50 chance of making the Dance after today, and have two home losses; by 6 to MSU and by 5 to Purdue.

I LOVE LAW!! ABSOLUTELY love so much about how he does his business and what he's done for the program.

With that said, Law needs to give them a reason to get him the ball more. In conference play, he has the second highest 3-pt attempts on the team and the lowest 3-pt%.

His 2-pt % is more than 20% above his 3-pt%, yet he has the same number of shots inside the three.

Lastly, he's shooting a fabulous 85% from the line, yet he has only five more FT attempts than Falzon in 200 minutes more.

Law isn't the only one on the team with the pitifully low FT attempts.

The Cats don't have many solid options right, so one is is as good as the other for the top four guys. But unfortunately, there's nothing about Law's season that demands he needs the ball more.

Did you see the stat during the broadcast ? NU is one of six teams in the country with three 80+% FT shooters.

My reaction was, of course, that I wish we would use that skill more frequently.

NU has done nothing at all this season to fit its system to its offensive talent.
