Canyon Barry to visit NU on April 28

Lou - Any word where a scholarship would come from? Seems like a pretty fair and NU newsworthy question. Something is changing regarding the NU roster or Vassar status previously unknown The administration has to tell you something other than we will figure something out. Alternatively, if you speak to either of these recruits, they must know our scholarship limit status - maybe ask them what they were told about the availability of a scholarship.
Could the scholarship question be answered this simply - in Moore's case he is a preferred walk-on until the first scholarship opens, and in Barry's case could he be considered a walk-on? In either scenario one would wonder why either player would pay big bucks for tuition, except for the obvious reason a degree from NU would more than pay for itself, especially if either player would need to pay tuition for only a year.
I'm sure as soon as people know where the scholarship is coming from it will show up here. I'm not sure that much is helped by continuing to go in the same circles debating it. But I guess it's an internet message board so that will prob happen anyways...

I wouldn't mind an update though on Charlie Moore, how his visit went, who else he is looking at and what his timeline is. He seems to be playing things close to the vest though.
Don't think he has visited yet. Last I heard there was no date set for his visit:
My personal feeling is that it's not a good sign, but who the hell knows with these things. Another poster has a source that we're in the lead, but Barry visits in 3 days and if he pulls the trigger then or shortly after, we'll be dead in the water with Moore.
Lou has not claimed to have asked nor reported any response. Tell me I will find it on the rock and I will subscribe. I don't think what you reference exists in written word.
Pretty sure the guys over at InsideNU (who are much more into covering basketball) have said they got a "no comment" response when asking NU officials.
I try to keep up there too. Didn't see that article following the publicized pursuit of Moore and Barry. I'll go look but I don't think it exists. Also sounds like you admittedly are making things up. Aren't you one that attacks me for my logical deductions?

6'3" PG with a 6'8" span? Crazy. Moore's definitely slick but if you can have only one I'm liking Cohill.
Are you talking Dwayne Cohill? I saw article on him recently and he talked about nearly every school in the Midwest but no mention of NU. He's a 2018 recruit so not sure why he'd have any bearing on NU takings guard this year. What am I missing?
FWIW, he just got his NU offer April 20, so perhaps that is why he made no mention of NU......

Also, Cohill is already a 1,000 point scorer for his HS career, and he's going into his Junior year. He plays in a conference that has a few schools close to me, so if his interest in NU holds and he looks like a possibility, I'm definitely going to go check him out next season.

A topic clearly sore for them. I wonder if they will PR again absent a commitment...and subsequent explanation. Boy, I really, really hope we land another 2016.

That could be right. Unless the guy didn't show or the visit didn't go well. The scholarship source is a mystery. Or more optimistically, it went great and we are giving him some time to talk to people before he announces his commitment.
