Do you happen to have (or could you dig up) Field Goals Attempted? I see 3PA and FTA in various lists, but not FGA.

(Actually, it's on Mac's list, not Tre's.)

My actual question: Where's Tre on FGA?

NUCat 320 - Tre is what we like to call a high-volume shooter. His 22 FGA today took him from 1,244 to 1,266. Notwithstanding today's effort, he stayed in 7th place. Vedran Vukusic is now far back in the rear-view mirror. The top 6 are Billy McKinney (1,645), Drew Crawford (1,575), John Shurna (1,509)...then a big fall-off to Jim Stack (1,367), Michael Thompson II (1,300) and Jim Burns (1,284). So, the best guess is that the good Mr. Demps will end his career ranked 4th in all-time FGA.

Billy was the best player I have seen at NU. Hands down. Not even close. And he did it on horrible teams where he was the only guy who could score. And seasons were only ~26 games in those days.

Kelly: Of the 8 NU players with 300 assists, Bryant McIntosh ranks 7th in career scoring. Therefore, the answer to your question is: 7.

Career Points Scored - N = 8 (The NU players with 300 career assists)

1. Thompson - 1,689
2. Moore - 1,294
3. Baldwin - 1,189
4. Sobolewski - 806
5. Doyle - 733
6. Watts - 711
7. McIntosh - 701
8. Jenkins I - 690

Enjoy!

So likely he will be up to4th on this list before the end of the year

So basically you feel that he will end up with the 4th most FGA by the end or the year with about 1450 (represents 16 FGA per remaining game) . Assume he ends up at about 559 FGM. With about 11 games to go this would be about 6 FGM per game and mean he averaged about 40% in his remaining games.. Where does that put him on FGM list?

Also that would have him at a career 38.9% average. How does that compare with the other guys on that list of most FGA?

Hdhntr1 - Well, 1450 FGA is certainly possible, but 1,368 (the number that would move him into 4th) is only 102 shots away. As for FGM: The relevant figures are:

6. Juice - 568
7. Vedran - 564
8. Rankin - 553
9. Jitim - 548
10. Burns - 522
11. Roberson - 521
12. Neloms - 512
Morris - 512
14. Goode - 499
15. Demps - 493 *** Now, if we won the NCAA tournament and Tre averaged 28 ppg per game, he has a shot at 5th Place - Esch, 621.

Allow me to start your other question with effective Field Goal Percentage (FGM + (.5* 3ptFGM) / FGA):

Among the 63 NU players for whom we can accurately count 1,600 career minutes of playing time, Tre ranks 44th with an eFG% of 46.09%. This is not good. Particularly for a guy who has made as many 3 pointers as he has in his career. The career eFG% of other "2" guards includes:

2. Sean Wink - 57.19%
4. Craig Moore - 56.36%
6. Alex Marcotullio - 55.65%
7. Todd Leslie - 54.95%
11. Reggie Hearn 53.62%
12. Kip Kirkpatrick - 53.25%
14. Jitim Young - 51.76%
33. JerShon Cobb - 47.85%
41. Jeff Grose - 46.43%
44. Tre Demps - 46.09%
51. Jeremy Nash - 45.09%
58. Sterling Williams - 42.91%
60. Jevon Johnson - 40.98%

Please forgive me if you feel I miscategorized someone.

Of the 63 NU players with 1,600 minutes played, Tre sits in 55th place for regular FG% at 38.94%. Of the 15 NU 'Cats with 1,000 FGA and verifiable 1,600 minutes, unfortunately, Tre is at the bottom of the list in FG%. ** But, let's not worry about that. Let's cheer Tre and the rest of the gang on Thursday night. Go 'Cats!

Thanks. Makes my point. Just showing that he won't just sneak into the 4th spot, figuring that we play 11 more game, he will be well in 4th place. Just disturbing that he shoots so much yet is so far down the list on % FG and effective FG%, Need to pass more and shoot less.
