Some fun stats for you guys:

Games Played -

* Sanjay Lumpkin ended his career #2 on the all-time games played list. (137)
* Bryant McIntosh recently entered the top 10. (120) He relegated Sterling Williams and Tavaras Hardy out of the Top 10.
* Gavin Skelly and Scottie Lindsey reside in 16th and 17th place respectively. (116, 115)
* As he jumps for his next tip-off, Dererk Pardon will join the Top 100 NU players ever in games played, tying Jim Burns and Rick Sund. (70) In doing so, he will kick the following players off the list: Bryan Ashbaugh, Terry Gamber, Clarence Richardson, Mike Weaver and for us relatively new-timers, Dan Kreft.

Games Started -

* Sanjay Lumpkin ended his career #4 on the all-time Games Started list. (126)
* Bryant McIntosh sits right behind at #5. (118) Jitim Young has suffered on the list as part of these movements.
* Vic Law (T-31), Scottie Lindsey (40th) and Dererk Pardon (T-49th, Walker Lambiotte) continue to move up the list.
* Aaron Falzon sits in a tie for 68th while Gavin Skelly needs 6 more starts to break into the Top 100.

Minutes Played -

* Bryant McIntosh is currently in 4th place (4,089), just 43 minutes behind John Shurna.
* Sanjay Lumpkin ended his career in 14th place (3,470), nestled right in between Kevin Rankin and Shawn Watts.
* Scottie Lindsey and Vic Law reside in 36th and 39th place respectively. Marcotullio, Kirkpatrick, Jennings and Cobb have been passed by both. Branch and Mirkovic are in-between. Luminaries such as Doyle, Coble, Drayton and Fullen are soon to be caught.
* Dererk Pardon (58th) and Gavin Skelly (67th) are moving up the list.
* Nathan Taphorn (90th) will remain on the top 100 list for the next 3-4 years.
* Aaron Falzon has recently crept on in 98th place, passing Rex Walters and Brian Jung. Hopefully injuries do not derail his pace past hard-working role players of Cats teams of yore.

Points -

* Bryant McIntosh is in 6th place (1,596). 5th place Michael ("Juice") Thompson (or II, as I call him) is 93 points away. To catch Eschmeyer (209 points away) for 4th place, Bryant will need to start scoring much more than he has...and go on a nice Big Ten tourney and NIT (?) run.
* Scottie Lindsey recently became the 35th 'Cat to get into quadruple digits. (1,077, good for 30th place) He most recently passed Winston Blake and has Mark Sibley in his sights.
* Vic Law sits in 43rd place (907) having passed Mike Weaver and looking up at Mohamed Hachad.
* Dererk Pardon is in a tie for 81st place (618) with Brian Gibson. His fellow center, Charles Howell is next on the list.
* How about Sanjay Lumpkin?? #2 on the games played list...#84 on the career points list (607). Got past Floyd Campbell...but was too unselfish to gun for James Wallace.
* Gavin Skelly sits 6 points out of #100. A couple corner 3s and he joins the august list.

Hope y'all enjoyed. More later if you are interested.

More! More!

Shotblocking!

Offensive rebounds! More!

3-pointers made and attempted (Is Ash in the top 100 yet??)

(On the PSU pregame, it was mentioned that Pardon is NU's all-time leader in FG%, which, of course he is, but it was also neat to see.)

I've always appreciated your stats Dugan, well before I actually started posting here. I like this new presentation as well, gives us some perspective on the history. I haven't thought about Collier Drayton in a long time. :)

Falzon passed Rex Walters in minutes played. GTFOOH

Medill: Not a single one of us should ever say a bad word about Messrs Grose, Styles, R. Ross or Holmes, but it is hard to imagine how a young man with a 7-year NBA career ahead of him sat behind these fine 'Cats. Indeed, Rex played 165 minutes in 14 games in '88-'89 before lighting it up the next year.

Now, for a couple of these years, the 3-point line may have been inside the top of the key, but I wish I had whispered in the ear of Coach Foster a few times:

1989-1990 team: 44.6% 3-point FG%. (#1 in the country this year: Purdue, 43.7%)
Walters (53/112) ; Rob Ross (17/40) ; David Holmes (13/28) ; Kevin Nixon (11/23) ; Todd Leslie (11/26) ; Walker Lambiotte (8/21) ; Don Brotz (2/3) ; Everyone else (1/7)

3ptFGA / FGA = 14.97% (#351 in the country this year: New Orleans 22.8%)

Psst...Coach Foster - Shoot the 3 point ball MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more often. I never did win a pair of freaking sneakers at halftime, but there were players on the team who were earning their sneakers. I wonder if the "exodus" doesn't happen if we learned to use the arc.
