Bates does not recruit all of Texas. I think he is more focused on Houston.

Probably not going to happen again. With the nine game conference schedule and NU wanting seven home games a year, there will only be a road nonconference game every other year, and NU likely wants it to be at a academic oriented school (e.g. Duke, Stanford) as part of a home and away series.

Yes, he only recruits the Houston area in Texas, but he also recruits Louisiana and the Cincinnati area.
