With its 2017 targets dwindling, Northwestern offered a versatile big man that has seen his recruiting pick up recently.

Clifton Moore, a three-star, 6-foot-10 "combo forward" from Horsham (Pa.) Hatboro Horsham, picked up his offer from Wildcats coach Chris Collins on Friday. That comes on the heels of an Indiana offer the day before and pushes Moore’s offer total into the mid-20s.

Northwestern likes Moore for his versatility and athleticism. He was just 6-foot-2 his freshman year before hitting a growth spurt that his him playing on the front line. A deft ballhandler, Moore reportedly can run the offense as a point big man for Hatboro Horsham.

Moore played for the Hoopdreamz Blue AAU team this summer.

The Wildcats have missed on several high-profile targets this recruiting cycle, including Jordan Goodwin, Savion Flagg, Luka Garza and Maxwell Evans. Moore is a similar player to Garza, a three-star who committed to Iowa in May.

Moore’s offer list includes Boston College, Mississippi, SMU, St. John’s, St. Joseph’s and Temple, among others.

The Wildcats are working on scheduling an official visit for Moore.
