The new USA Today/Coaches poll ranks Northwestern 26th (we are 30th in the AP poll). Hopefully the Cats will soon be in the Top 25

Gotta hand it to Wrassler - he was closer than I expected. Last time he predicted we would get in the Top 25 in Football the whole board laughed but he got the last laugh.

As a former nu student athlete,and BT wrestling commentator , I am very much aware of the needs and demands of our athletes. I love our chances this week? Why? OSU has to travel a gazillion miles midweek to Nebraska. We will jump all over a tired Buckeyes hoops team.

Pretty much impossible to focus on education when u have to perform in front of 10,000 screaming fans. I was an Economics major. Fortunately, I was often second string. Lots less pressure but still more disappointment than anyone would care for at age 19-22. Lots of other stress means underperformers on the road can happen rather easily. I think Nebraska wins Wednesday also vs OSU

I have great admiration for wrestlers. So much physical effort and conditioning and skill for relatively little recognition unless one is a superstar (consistent champ, etc) and thus gets decent publicity. Never wrestled myself except in PhyEd way back when, but I will never forget how absolutely spent I was in such a short time.

And you were an econ major? I would have thought you majored in mat. (Ba da bump).

I'm having fun this season! Especially when Lindsey,Law,and Pardon get those monster jams. Hoops is a lot like hockey! Lots of explosive energy. I now like it better than football! Jump all over the Buckeyes like Chicago Gangsters! That's what I say! We will be good in hoops for years to come! Love this team❤️❤️❤️❤️
