I used to work at the Exxon Bayonne refinery site. Actually, it hasn't been a refinery for like 40 or 50 years. Was a terminal and Chemical plant, the chem plant shut in ~'90. I think IMTT bought the tank farm. Exxon has a lubricants blending plant there now. Exxon has pretty much sold off all its NJ assets. All that is left is their corporate R&D lab out in Clinton.Hoboken, Jersey City and Bayonne are being revitalized with millennials flocking in to take advantage of relatively "cheaper" costs of living but being only a ferry or PATH train from NYC.
Exxon's Bayonne refinery and storage tanks are one of the areas top tourist attractions !
Those are some long arms on that young man.
The entire coaching staff? Talk about being made to feel like a priority recruit.

Bigger kid than I thought after watching some film
NU wil have at least 4 scholarships available in 2019: Law, Pardon, Ash and Taylor, so looking at a SG isn't crazy. Two backcourt and 2 frontcourrt players seems pretty obvious.Still don't understand all the love. Unless you're thinking that he will be the best available (and a good one at that) on the heels of Lathon and you know you have to have another ball handler in the 2019 class.. Without a true freshman or graduate transfer, we will have nobody on the 2019 roster backing up Lathon.

I used to work at Exxon's Bayway refinery shortly after the Arthur Kill spill while I was studying engineering. Bayway has the beautiful flares by the Garden State Parkway. The refinery was sold to TOSCO about a year after I graduated and is apparently owned by Phillips. The chemical plant appears to be owned by a join venture involving Exxon.Fitzphile, I used to work at the Exxon Bayonne refinery site. Actually, it hasn't been a refinery for like 40 or 50 years. I worked for Paramins (the precursor to the current JV, Infineum) at Bayway in '92 and '93. I led the integration of the Teamsters bumped from the refinery into the chem plant when Tosco took over. Smartly, Tosco took everyone who had a drug problem, was a discipline problem or otherwise wasn't wanted and shoved them onto us. What a motley crew! I still recall leading the meeting where we assigned the new guys to units in the chem plant. It was unbelievably tense. At the end, the plant manager came into the conference room to get the results. He took me aside after the meeting and said, "Mark, the sign of a good meeting is when everyone is equally pissed off at the end". Also worked at Florham Park, which apparently was sold off too.
Exactly. You can add a healthy measure of swag as well. At 6-6 and playing against HS guards, those are the qualities that have made him a very good HS player.The problems are: 1. He is not an explosive athlete. 2.When he gets to the rim he is a finesse finisher (won't work well for him in the BIG) and, 3. He is only an average shooter made worse by a release that might as well come from south of the border. Those are the qualities that have held back his offer sheet notwithstanding all that there is to otherwise like about his game.

With respect Go-U-NU...
* On the explosion side....he does just enough to be superior to his competition...perhaps we've not seen him pushed to his max;
* On the finesse at the finish....kid's a bad ass.....beats his player and lays it up like butter;
* The important parts of his shot are there....let him practice against and Turner and Kopp for a couple weeks....he'll raise his release point and everything will chocolate pudding.
I have faith in CCC's evaluation of his talent. We'd be lucky to have him and I hope we get him. We could use someone with a Sanjay-like attitude on our team.I think the chances are slim he has an extra gear never shown in any form in multiple games. More confident of that slim chance knowing that bad ass HS players rarely pass up an opportunity to make a statement. Paul is clearly a bad ass. Wish Nance had more of that in him.
I hope for Paul’s sake it’s easy for him to raise his release significantly. I remain skeptical. Without that adjustment and no more explosiveness than he has shown on film, he won’t be hard to defend in the BIG. Will have to rely on his exceptional craftiness and BMac like floaters to get the occasional open opportunity or tough basket.
That’s my take. Pretty confident in it. Still hoping CCC gets the guys he wants and takes the Wildcats to a championship level.

Likely 5 as if we get a grad transfer his spot would open up as well and if not we would be carrying an open schollie into next yearNU wil have at least 4 scholarships available in 2019: Law, Pardon, Ash and Taylor, so looking at a SG isn't crazy. If that low release point gives him a quick enough release, he might be getting it off before D can cause a problem. Isn't that like what Shurna did?I think the chances are slim he has an extra gear never shown in any form in multiple games. Does that potentially take away our concerns for lead guard?I agree with everything you said here. I just don't see Mulcahy as a shooting guard. He definitely has the height and length for it, but his skill set doesn't check any of the boxes. Very much a facilitator skill set .

I too have the same faith FF. But recruiting is dictated far more by opportunities than evaluations. CCC has to pursue his best opportunities. The entire WR redo, the new practice facility, the exposure from recent success. They all go to expanding the pool of opportunities. That’s the hardest part of the process. Especially when you’re an aspiring program like ours.
I am confident CCC sees Paul as a good opportunity, relative to others he can realistically recruit, to fill a pressing need in the 2019 class. I am also confident CCC’s strengths and weaknesses evaluation of this recruit would not be materially different than mine.

Here is a blurb. Wonder if his coach is related to Jaren Sina?Is making announcement tomorrow. Would be huge get!
Hope Collins didn't burn any bridges with the Sina family!!His coach is Sina’s dad. An interesting note is that we only needed and got B Mac because Sina decommitted.
