Fire JON Sunday AM. Promote McGarigle to DC. Beg Hankwitz to come back as an advisor for 2022. Hire Tim Brewster as TE coach and Passing game coordinator.

So again, I don't understand why people want to make JON the scapegoat for today. Did we watch the same game?

Did you see open receiver after open receiver? Did you see SIU average over 5 yards per play? Did you see SIU run the same play over and again without us having a defensive response? Did you see SIU put up 31 points against us, which should have been/could have been over 40 were not for their own errors? Did you see NU finish last season 2nd to last in the conference in giving up 429 yards per game, which is almost exactly the same this season at 427 yards, despite having only played Nebraska, Duke and SIU?

McGarigle was a pretty good LB coach under Hankwitz. Bring back the schemes which McGarigle knows well. As an NU grad, I figure he’s pretty smart and can get Hankwitz D back.
The D has continued to regress under JON. Cut the rope before things get much worse.
Despite some decent numbers, the passing game is not a threat. Teams are loading the box. Bring in an expert in the passing game who also is one of the best in developing TEs to be better run blockers and pass catchers.

Last year, Ryan Day demoted Kerry Coombs after ONE bad game. They were still ot up to usual Buckeye levels but generally better. Cut the rope. Now

The defense has been ass for the last 15 game days. This is not new. This is not a mistake filled day that is out of character. This is what we are now on defense.

We went from maybe less talent but very well coached to less talent and outcoached by teams with even lesser talent.
