Coach K stepping down

Coach K will retire at the end of the season after 41 years at Duke. It looks like Jon Scheyer — the other former Illinois Mr. Basketball from Glenbrook North who played for the Blue Devils — will replace him.

Coach K retiring in '22; Scheyer named successor

Hall of Fame coach Mike Krzyzewski, who has led Duke to five national titles in his 41 seasons with the Blue Devils, plans to retire after the 2021-22 men's college basketball season, the university announced Wednesday.
