While this might be a bit off topic I know many of his articles and op-eds have been discussed here on our board and thought this information might interest some folks. Anyone with kids can sympathize I am sure.

I pray he is found safe and sound, but sadly these things often end badly just like it did at NU this past fall.

Horrible! I was depressed as a student athlete freshman at Northwestern . Had to drop out for a term. Northwestern was great to me then and is still very supportive of all their students and althletes. At Illinois,Ohio State, and Indiana, several kids have passed away tragically on campus. Why! Lots of transitions are hard on these kids. New school, surroundings, hard classes, making friends, etc. Colleges need to help these kids make better transitions by having more support systems in place. Over the past year I have called several BT schools and asked they model Northwestern's outstanding student services program.
